Socialism

I've met idealists, who dreamed of a world full of compassion, where all human needs are met and no-one suffers unnecessary hardship.

Some called themselves Socialists, and thought their dream could be created through legislation, or a change in Government.

Why has this never worked?

Historically, every attempt to pursue the Socialist ideal has resulted in the creation of an 'elite' class who simply exploited everyone else. The forms changed, but the nightmare of greed stayed the same or got worse. A cynical person might observe that the new 'Elite' always consisted largely of those who drove the revolution or pushed the legislation.

The answer is simple. Legislation relies on the use or threat of coercive violence. Coercion is the opposite of freedom. Compassion comes from the heart and cannot be compelled.

As more people awaken to who they really are and take back the power they have given to bureaucrats, the dream can become a reality.

That is why this website was created.
